The Gentry Register

Thank you for your interest in the Gentry Register.

Club members receive the quarterly magazine "The Gentry Journal" and the latest handbook, which is supplied annually. The members handbook has details of everyone in the club and is compiled from the information provided on the application forms.

The Register also operates a voluntary breakdown scheme to help fellow members, the details of which are as follows. Each member has code letters after their entry in the handbook, depending on the service they have offered to provide:

The code letters have the following meaning:

A     Loan of tools at home.
B     Will travel 15 miles to breakdown with tools and help with repair.
C     As in (B) but if unable to repair, will tow to a garage or a reasonable distance.
D     Can offer overnight accommodation in an emergency.
N     None.

The success of this service depends on members helping each other. We do realise that not everyone will be able to help, as each person’s circumstances are different. If you cannot offer a service this in no way prevents you from receiving help if you should need it. With the scheme it does not matter what vehicle you are driving that has broken down, after all it’s a service to all members and not everyone has a Gentry on the road.

We are a friendly Club and enjoy regular social meets around the country. Also advice on your car is only a phone call away.
